The Mad Tea Party

For some time now, I have been haunted by Alice in Wonderland theme. The inspiration comes equaly from the book with classic artwork by Sir John Tenniel and Alice's darker sister created by American McGee in both his Alice games, but particularly "Alice Madness Returns" I think especially the game with its eerie beautiful soundtrack resonates with me beyond the limitations of the medium. In my artwork I strive to go beyond its enevitable manga cliches but preserve its dark haunting ambience. It is an ongoing project and I am still working to expand the series.

Her Kingdom

Rescued from ruin. I photographed this beautiful derelict place in Mells some years ago and never get myself round to edit this particular picture. Unfortunately the quality of the detail in the original file was not up to my standards and so it hibernated on my Mac for some time. .. Despite this I decided to give a chance to the dark beauty of this place and this capture even with all its shortcomings. Because of this, the artwork is smaller than my usual sizes but would still lend its mystery and gloomy beauty to your surroundings. as a little postcard from the "dark side" Ido not know if this place still exists. The last time I was there it was fenced for development. With my friend, we had to climb over the high fencing with all the bulky photography equipment and me in a long lacy Victorian dress. My artist's assistant, Angel. I would love to create more pictures of my two cats but they are not co-operating at all. Taking into account that i have to use a flash, especially with their black coat, (my special little cat flash) by the time I manage to set it all up, they are gone. I captured this beautiful autumnal landscape in woodland surrounding derelict complex of old pre-war buildings in Mells. We are constructing soaring stone arches, out of nothing... resounding stone slabs, steps... hidden chapels... We breathe the yellow candlelight into the blue darkness and in the darkness we whisper, we stake a human shape, a raven's form, an owl outline... Out chants, prayers, whispers, are made of sounds you won't understand...
